Teachers - are you working til your due date?

Teachers, what are you doing about your mat leave?  Are you leaving early?  I was planning to work through my due date, since it works out to be the day before Thanksgiving, which would be an easier transition for the students.  But I am exhausted.  I'm contemplating taking that week off before Thanksgiving.  Just wondering what others are doing.

Im due on a wednesday, so my last day will be the friday before.  It'll be easier for my students to make a break on a weekend I think.

I'm attempting to make it all the way through. My due date is next Thursday so I'm so very close. They are gettin a sub for me the 22nd through the second week of January for sure.

I'm not a teacher, but am a speech therapist working in the schools. I was actually due last Wednesday and am still working. I'm being induced this Wednesday, so tomorrow will be my last day. I had planned on October 30 being my last day, but since little one showed no signs of coming anytime soon I decided to keep working last week. I'm glad I did since he's going to be a week late!

My due date is December 11th and I'm planning on working until the 8th!

I am working up until I have the baby.  I am very lucky and have been feeling really good.  Yes I am very tired at the end of the day but I am able to day down and rest when I get home.  I'm due next Thursday so I just keep thinking that it could really be any day now or if I go past my due date I will just work up until Thanksgiving break and then not come back.  I also teach junior high/high school so there isn't as much of an issue with my students adapting to me being gone!

Working till I pop:) I'm due 12/13 and we go on winter break 12/18 so I'd like to make it as close to winter break ast possible so I don't have to start using any sick days until the new year. But....the LO will come when she wants! GL!

i teach at a year round school so my kids will be having their first break starting the tuesday before thanksgiving (which will end the first trimester for them) and i'm working until that day. then they'll come back on track january 4th but i'm due january 9th so i won't be coming back w/them. so b/c of my year round schedule i'll have time to be at home before my due date b/c i'd be home at that time b/c of my schedule anyways.

My due date is December 19th and the last day of school before Winter Break is December 18th. If I am still pregnant on the 18th than yes I will be here. Of course there's always the possibility that my doc will make me stop working sooner, but I am hoping to work until the day I deliver.

I am planning on working up until Nov. 24th which is the last day before THanksgiving break... with my sub starting for me on the 30th when classes resume.  When I submitted my leave of absence request I just worded it that I would work up until this day - pending any medical complications.

I was planning on working up until my due date (11/22), but baby & my health had other ideas... I am starting my 3rd week of bed rest, so I will be out until the beginning of second semester. I teach high school, so taking off until then is an easier transition at the end of the semester for the students, me, & the sub.

I am due on December 19th and our last official workday before Christmas Holidays is the 18th.  I plan to work all the way up until i can't work anymore.  I team teach dance, so i can sit there and watch while my co-worker goes through things with them.  I can't waste ANY days and i want to use my holidays along with my maternity leave. 

 Hopefully LO will cooperate with my plans! LOL

I am due 12/23, which is the last day of school before Christmas break.  I am praying that I make it that far!!!  If I do, I am absolutely going to continue working.

i'm working until 1/31. EDD is 2/14. it will work out nicely because we are on the quarter system and quarter 2 (essentially semester 1) will be over 1/31. so they will be getting new courses 2/1 and i will miss just about all of quarter 3 (out at least 8 weeks. 1 quarter = 10 weeks).

I was planning on working up till my EDD, but it's just too hard.  I've dehydrated myself too often (once ending in a hospital visit) because I can't pee when I need to so I can't drink during the day.  I'm a traveling teacher and have to get from one end of the school to the next within a 2 minute period change.  So, unfortunately, I'm actually done working a week from tomorrow.  I will really miss the kids, but I really need to do whats best for me and LO.

My due date is December 27th and I am working till our winter break starts on December 18th.  If she is late...still not going back!

I'm due on 1/31 and am planning on working up until my water breaks. I don't have many sick days banked so I need to wait to use them when my baby is here. I have just enough sick days, personal days, and 60/40 days to cover me for 6 weeks since my school district does not pay for maternity leave.

I'm due 12/30 and planning to work until 12/23 when winter break starts. They are accepting application for my long term sub this week and anticipate board approval on 12/14. I really don't want to be out until there is a sub in place. I'd like to be able to spend a few days with the sub if possible... but it's up to LO not me!

My EDD is 1/14 and I'm working till he comes.  I'm planning on going back in June, so if he's a week late, I'm going to keep working.  I'm taking a few unpaid days and the less days I need, the better.  (Says the girl who's not 8 months yet... I may change my mind later but I'm committed at this point.)

I'm finished at 34 weeks, but that's because I'm expecting twins. I hopefully have another 4 weeks before they're here.
