Anyone see the movie Precious over the weekend?

The previews for this one are so haunting that I keep thinking about it.  Has anyone seen it?  Or read the book?

I did not (not showing here) but my sister saw it in NYC and gives it 10/10.

I read the book, but maybe 10 or so years ago. I recall it was very good - obviously very disturbing.

I am afraid that it would be something I won't be able to get out of my head. I had to read that book "A?child?called It" and I still have problems with the things I read it in.?

I think it looks like a really good movie, I just don't think I?could handle seeing it, you know??

ITA, but I just saw an interview on tv where they said overall, its a very uplifting story and people shouldn't be afraid that it will be too disturbing for them. 

My SIL just gave me the book A Brother's Journey, which is by Richard Pelzer, the brother of Dave Pelzer (A Child Called 'It').
