How long did you have to use Lanolin?

How long did you have to apply lanolin or the equivalent to your nipples? I feel like BFing would be so much easier if I didn't have to take the time to coat my nipples but then again I am scared if I don't they will get sore and cracked again. Did you use it the whole time?

I've been nursing DD for 7 months and I haven't had to use it since the first 3-4 weeks.

I never did use it.  The first couple of weeks, I would rub a little breastmilk on my nips after nursing and let them air dry.  Once they stopped being tender, I stopped worrying about it.

I used it a few times the first week and then stopped. I've never had a problem with cracked nips.

I haven't used it since the first 3 weeks.  I didn't put it on everytime, just when my nipples were getting sore or cracked.

Same here. I used it the first week or two, but I don't anymore.

i use it 1 or 2 times a day - always at night after i shower and then again in the morning if i remember.  i probably will quit once i run out (i have 3 tubes and 2 are almost empty)  

honestly the bmilk and air thing seems to help more than anything,

Great! This makes me feel much better! It is such a hassle but yet I don't want to be in pain so I have been scared to stop using it!
