I have never heard that. DS loves dried apricots and if I tired to cut them out of his daily routine I think he'd freak. Like pp said, they are healthy and I'd rather him that then some other things. Just monitor them like all food is my opinion...maybe not a popular one, but that's mine.
we feed them to my son, however he doesn't shove a bunch of them into his mouth at a time. He usually eats 1-2 each time, so I think that is less of a choking hazard but still something to watch.
I choked on absolutely nothing today. I was breathing, it tickled my throat and the next thing I know, I'm trying to Heimlich my lung out of my neck.
Joseph loves raisins and dried cherries and craisins. He'd kill a man for banana chip. I'm not planning on removing dried fruit from his life any time soon.
Re: Dried fruit is a no-no?
I've never heard that. DS eats raisins daily, dried apples, bananas, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, cranberries. We have had no problems.
