I know this has been asked a bunch of times but I need to make a decision and make the purchase. She still fits in the infant carrier, but I think would be much happier in a bigger, more upright seat. DD will move to DS's Britax Roundabout and the new seat will be for him.
I need to buy two so please make suggestions and point me in the direction of any salse you may be aware of.
Thanks.
Re: Graco Nautilus or Britax Frontier
But I think she means it's for her older child, who is already forward facing.
We'll be making the same move soon, and I think we're going for the Nautilus. I've loved my Britax Boulevards, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Nautilus. And it's about half the price of the Frontier.
Derp. Gotta slow down when I read....
It's an awesome seat. I have two-one for each car. It's big, but not super big, and DD loves being in it. And I hate to say, but I love that it has the cupholder. Super easy to install too.
LOVE my nautilus!! (so do all 3 of my kids) We only have one and bought it when L grew out of his Alfa Omega Elite. It only goes up to 40lbs for the harness and I really wanted 65+ so we bought a Nautilus. Now the girls fight over it. Whenever L isnt with us one of the girls always sits in it. When we get out taxes back we will be buying 2 more. K&K are only right at 30lbs so they still have a while in their seats but I want to get them when I know we will have the money.
We have 2 - for our older kids, and I LOVE them, as do both kids. I like that it harnesses to 65 lbs - I plan on using that the full time then converts to the booster options I really like the cupholder, as well as the little cubby holes in the armrests. the kids store trash in one (like fruit snack wrappers) and toys in the other. I have absolutely no complaints, so I suggest the Nautilus!
I didn't see it on sale anywhere this week - but check out albeebaby.com. They usually have every thing about 10% cheaper, and free shipping over $100.
Can't speak for the Britax Frontier, but we have a Nautilus for each of our cars, including Grandma's (3 total). DD isn't super tall but has a long torso so finding a 5-pt harness that was high enough was important. She has a good 2-3 inches of growth before she'd outgrow the harness, at which time we'll convert to the high-back booster.
Love it! (if it means anything, we went from a Roundabout and Marathon to the Nautilus--DD2 is now in the RFing Roundabout and Marathon)
