So I was taking an oral antibiotic medication to control my acne.  It worked perfectly-- I rarely had break outs.  Now that I'm pregnant I had to get off that medication and I worried I'm going to start breaking out.  Is anyone on some type of oral medication that is safe for the baby, but that also helps with acne?

My chest and neck have been breaking out like crazy!!!

I have been using Burts bees acne line and it has been helping a lot

Pregnancy acne sucks.  I'm covered in it.

I don't know if anything is "safe" to take.  Most antibiotics (oral and topical) aren't, according to my MW.

I personally would rather not take anything at all.  It sucks that my face looks like this, but at least I know why it's doing it.

I feel ya!!! I didn't change my regular skin care routine, (wasn't taking any antibiotics for it) but I broke out everywhere over night, it stayed for about a week around week 5 and has disappeared again. Never really thought about it, is proactiv okay to use while pregnant?

My derm put me on a topical antibiotic- erythromycin, might be 2%? Both my derm and midwife said it was 100% safe in pregnancy- I was on it while pg w/my first also.

I was on doxycycline that I had to stop immediately after I got my BFP. Erythromycin is safe during pregnancy, so maybe talk to your doc about it.

my face has been breaking out too! The Burts bees wash has been helping a lot!
