3rd Trimester

any ? for a mommy of a 9 day old?

Ask me anything! DH is playing with DS. I had an elective induction that failed on day one and was a success on day two, I got an epi, birthed in a birthing tub, had stadol.

We are also BFing if you have any ? about that too

  • did the stadol make you "drunk" feeling?

and did it hurt when your milk started coming in?

The stadol made me sleepy, so sort of drunk feeling. I was sleeping between contrax. It made me REALLY nauseated I actually threw up on DH after  it. I don't think stadol was worth it! I still felt everything!

milk coming in didn't hurt, the day it came in though I woke up with wet spots on my shirt. didn't expect the leaking

    What is an elective induction?

I hah no medical reason for inducing.

  • Did the epi work and did it still hurt?

    Does BFing hurt?

Can you tell I'm scared of pain?

early BM is yellow! latching hurts a lot, but you will love every moment of it! carson has found my hair and pulls it! I love every minute of our nursing time!

the epi was AMAZING!!! mr. epi-man was godlike when it began working.

BFing hurts at first! get a nipple shield if you scared. I yelped with pain the first time he chomped down during latch

He was still fairly active. kicking and what not. But once labor got more intense he was calmer. He came out though kicking and screaming!

  • My baby shower isn't until Sunday.. But what would you say are the most necessary items to have before the baby gets here? I feel like I'm gonna be so unprepared.. We have the car seat, and obviously we have to have that or we can't take her home!

We LOVE our wipe warmer, its torture when the wipes are cold. thats not really necessary though.

I would highly suggest bottles even if you are BFing. We give Carson a bottle about once a day when my boobs need a break, usually right before bed. I would suggest MAMS anti-colic no nip confusion

Binkies! I would highly suggest "soothies" LO loves them and so far no nipple confusion

I would highly suggest lots of pants with footies. I love all his clothes, but socks fall off his feet. so footies are very necessary.
