Do I send it to the kid (ex: Jane Smith) and not the parents? Of course, I know a parent will bring them... or do I send it to the whole family (ex: The Smith's)?
Etiquette says you address it to the person/people invited. If you are inviting the whole family, address it to the family. If you would like kids with just a few adults, then address it to the kid.
With that said, I think it would be cute to address it to the child. I always love it when E gets mails. I plan to do the invites as to the child and their family so it looks like <Child's name> and his/her family.
