3rd Trimester

Everything gets too tight as the day progresses

I have to take my bra off as soon as I get home from work everyday.

An hour later I need to change pants because they feel too tight. I wear freaking yoga pants that are XL!! I can't go any higher! (This would be easily solved with buying maternity pants, I know, but I'm a cheapa*s and I don't want to buy them.)

Before bed I seriously had to take my PJ pants and underwear off because they were just so uncomfortable. So I just slept in a tank top. I woke up to pee in the middle of the night and as I was walking back to bed I was like, where the f*ck are my panties? I felt like I was on crack. (I've never done crack so I wouldn't know, but you know what I mean.)

I'm wearing my 1 pair of maternity pants that I actually have today with a maternity top and a sweater, but I just want to strip down naked. Not because I'm hot, but just because I'm uncomfortable.

I never thought I'd be the pregnant girl who b*tches about everything, but I think today is one of those days.

I'm going home for lunch. I can't be here right now.

  • I think this is why our moms and grandmas used to wear mumus while pregnant. I feel the same way most days. Just wish I could show up to work in my yoga pants and a tank top.

We are business casual, but I made my own dress code since I'm 8 months pregnant. No one will say anything to me because they are probably afraid to. This may come as a surprise to some of you, but I can get kind of mean sometimes. LOL.

  • Got any good elastic-waist skirts? A nice long one can be hiked up above your belly under a long shirt and no one has to know.

Or better yet, a one piece A-Line dress.  Then you have no added pressure on your tummy and you can add a belt to the dress after baby comes and continue to wear it - you won't feel like you're spending money on something you'll only wear for 6 weeks.

I'd suggest going ahead and buying a couple of nursing bras that fit you now, though.  Just make sure they are adjustable, both around the body and in the cups.  Then you can just let part of it out a little later in the day when you are uncomfortable and you'll need that larger size after baby's born and your milk comes in anyway.

HTH - wearing just a terry-cloth bathrobe today.  I suppose I should put on some real clothes so I can go outside and get something done.  *sigh*
