My nursery 'vision' at this point is to do a very neutral color for bedding, possibly a taupe or beige and white, then add soft blue or pink accents into the room (depending on the sex). Most of the bedding that I'm finding either has a theme, or is clearly gender specific. Let me know if you have come across any bedding that you think might work! TIA
I found the following examples on HGTV that fit my 'vision' so far, hehe.
Re: Beige/Taupe crib bedding
I love your idea. ?If I were to do this type (I don't think DH or I could have a delivery surprise), these are my two favorites.

This is a cheaper version of the same style, plus I love how you could add some of the other pieces in blue, green, or pink later...

I think this would look great with light blue or pink accents...

I saw this set on Javis Davis web site and it looks beautiful. I have never seen it in person but do know someone who has purchased from them. The fabric set is Cream Puff. Look in the photo gallery and they show a set made up in it. It might be more than you want to spend but it is a fun site to play around with ideas.

Baby Martex has a line called Sweet Vanilla that is discontinued. Here's a set on eBay, though. It's beige and white with a sheep theme. Their current beige line is called Creme Brulee and is at BRU/TRU and Baby Depot as well as other places online.
Nature's Purest sells 2 organic lines at BRU and other online places called Hug Me and Sleepy Safari. Hug Me is being discontinued, though. I don't see it online at all.
Serena and Lily has Cameron.
We're looking to use the same colors. I love Sweet Lambie by PBK but we don't have that kind of money. HTH!
ETA: You could also get solids from Carousel Designs--we used them for DD's nursery and, although pricey, their sheets and bedding are well worth it!
I did the exact same thing for DS (we didn't know if he was a he or she). The nursery was done in beige's, ivories and browns. I used the bedding from JCPenny called Sweet Vanilla - not sure it's still current but it was very basic w/ just stars and lambs on it - no characters or crazy stuff like that. I believe Martex was the maker. GL Kel
I'm not sure if you can get Gluckstein in the states, but I saw this set in person at The Bay in Canada and it is really nice...
