i had my 36 week internal today...december girls!

and my doctor has the softest touch in the world, cause it didnt hurt one bit... needless to say... my cervix is on lockdown, and Im soft, but not effaced at all.....baby is about 6lbs and some change...and measuring 37 weeks..

anyone else have any news of whats going on?..

I am glad that they didn't hurt you!  I had mine at 36 weeks and I swear to god she shoved her whole hand up there.  She even dislodged my mucus plug.  Eww.

I don't find out what is going on until the 16th.  I am sooo anxious.

I had my 1st yesterday. Baby is measuring 37.5 weeks, but I'm at 35 weeks.  I'm thin and soft, but not dilated at all. This whole "not knowing when she's coming" is killing me. They said I'll either have a big baby, or she'll come early. Ugh!

I had my 38 week one this a.m., and no progress. This doesn't really mean anything, but I was still hoping for something to be going on. Oh well.

I had my 1st internal as well as an ultrasound on Monday.  I swear we must have had the same Dr.  I didn't feel a thing.  My lil man is weighing in at a little over 6.5lbs and is in the 92nd percentile.  Looks like I'll be having a big baby, which is okay cuz I was 9lbs 11oz when I was born (sorry mom)

I just had my 33 week appt. on Wednesday and he is head down and has dropped.  My doc won't do an internal until 38 weeks, so I have a ways to go to find out if I am dilated/effaced, etc. 

I was induced at 38 weeks with DD and she was still over 8 lbs.  I am thinking Jackson will be a big boy too, so hopefully he'll come around 37-38 weeks.

My babe is at 7 lb 3 oz and they told me she's at the 84th percentile. This really makes me wonder how much do they really know, and how much is guesswork..like the weather forecast...lol

My Dr did my first internal at 32 weeks because I was losing fluid and I was already soft and about a fingertip dilated.  He's Estimated birthday weight is around 10 lbs, so she said if he doesn't come early, they will go in and get in around 38 weeks, which is okay with me because I consistently measure about two weeks ahead....i just didn't expect all of this to happen so soon.

I had an internal a few days ago.  It wasn't that bad.  Slight twinges of pain, but with everything else that has been hurting me in recent months the pain was similar or less.  I am 50% effaced but not dialated.  He said "I can almost get my finger through!"... And all I could think was "Wow... everyday being pregnant some comments no longer shock me."

My last internal at 36 weeks i was 40% effaced.  at my 37w visit they didn't do one, so i am hoping for one at my next visit on the 13th at that time i will be 38W2d.

I had my 36 week today too.  She said I'm measuring right at 36 weeks.  Yeah, the internal didn't hurt for me either.

I'm 1cm and 50% effaced.  When she did the internal, she said she could feel his head!  So cool!

She also gave me an ultrasound too because she was confused about the position of the baby.   It was so cool to see him again!

I get my first internal next week Thursday. I am pretty excited to hear if or what is going on. Last night I was having light contactions that were 3-4 minutes apart lasting about 40 seconds, that went on for 2 hrs. For a little while I thought I might have been in early labor. I think my dr. is going to telling me I have dialted a little.
