3rd Trimester

One week PP and. . .

the woman that I work with is already back into her pre-pregnancy clothes!!  She stopped into work to finish up a few things and it looks like she was never even pregnant!  I swear if she didn't have pictures to prove that she had a baby I wouldn't have believed her!

I know that this just happens to some people and they can bounce right back.  But, I know that it won't be happening to me.  Crying

  • my SIL just had a baby a month ago and was lucky like that too! I'm hoping she passes it on to me! haha!

  • yeah two of my cousins were like that... granted they were pretty slim to start but I swear you could have never been able to tell they JUST had babies from looking at them... makes me sick... I also had a friend who had her baby and within a month was smaller than she was before she got pregnant... this will most likely NOT be me... oh well...

  • Don't feel bad if you don't.  Remember you are the cradle of civilization.
  • Wowzers.  I hope I'm like her!  ...not banking on it though.
  • My good friend never got into positive weight gain during pregnancy!

Pre-pregnancy weight -22 lbs + 8 lbs -3 lbs = sickeningly cute mommy a month after delivery! I'm hoping nursing will help and hoping that the stomach craziness I had pre-pregnancy returns, I had lost around 60-70 lbs.

  • It's not gonna happen for me either. Some of us are destined to look like we've hit puberty and had children. It used to upset me after I had my son when I'd look at my body and see all the signs of having been pregnant. But now that I am older....I don't mind it. I am fortunate and am blessed. If I have some stretch marks and a little extra curves I am ok with that. I can remember the pregnancies and babies those came from. Part of being a woman/mother and thinking of it that way makes me smile.
  • My mom left the hospital in her pre-pregnancy jeans both times.  I sorta hate her for it. :)  We aren't built the same, so I know I won't be as lucky.

My sister said this happened to her for her first baby. She walked out of the hospital wearing her pre-pregnancy jeans and she got the evil eye from a few moms there. She did have a 5 lb baby though so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it.

  • I still wear my pre preg jeans & I feel HUGE!

  • If it makes you feel any better, even though she may be wearing pre-pregnancy clothes I can guarantee her belly doesn't look the same unclothed. It's generally not pretty for a while. All wiggly and jiggly.
  • it took my sister about 2 months... i hope that will happen to me too but i doubt it.
  • It took my friend a month, but with exclusively nursing she lost 30 lbs (including the baby, all the fluid, etc...) - I'm still impressed, though! She and I are of similar builds, hopefully I will be as lucky and look as good as her. We'll see!

Oh that is the best part!  She showed me her stomach and it was flat as a board!  She pointed to it and said that she still had a little flab.  It seriously made me want to barf!  I just kept thinking. . . please wait until you see my stomach after LO is here!
