I had my appt today, last appt was 4 weeks ago, because they " just didn't see it necessary" that I had one at 2 weeks. And today, they scheduled me for 2 more weeks out! After telling me that her head is VERY low, and that I'm thinned out and softened.
Does this seem weird to you? Or is any one else in my same position? I know it's not completely necessary to be seen every week, I just thought that's what you were supposed to do when you got to this point!
Re: Any one else NOT going every week?
They ( two doctors.. working together?? I dont know. today was ODD.) said they just didn't think it was necessary. I couldn't even get in with my reg midwife in two weeks.. I have to go see an OB. I am glad to know that every thing is healthy, I just figured they would be screening me more often.
CAHILL... are you being seen at the Naval Hospital or out in town? Because the NH is still not seeing me every week. My last appointment was Oct 22 and my next one is tomorrow. A two and half week break. So here in Jacksonville- I think it's the norm, unless something is wrong.
Yay on the slight progress- I find out tomorrow about mine.
At ~33 weeks they started me on every two weeks. I just had an appt. this week next in 2 weeks then every week from there on out.
It was the same with DS, from 12 weeks to 32 weeks every month, then every two weeks until 36 weeks, then every week until birth.
NH! I was going to Henderson because it was closer... but since they shut it down, I have to go out there. Do you see the same Dr every time?? This is bothering the shyt out of me!! I need consistency..
I saw the same doctor for most of the pregnancy, but now I see whoever is available. I am high risk too and have to see a doctor, but I have had an appointment with a midwife before. Just FYI, I would avoid Dr. Anderson at all possible costs. And what sucks is that even if you see the same doc the whole time, that does not mean they will deliver you. And most likely it will be a midwife to deliver you. So at the NH, you MUST flow with the punches so to say. (But two of my friends delivered at NH and had really good experiences.)
I have appointments set up for weeks 36, 38,39,40.
I think 2 weeks out from where you are now seems right. If everything is all right (your BP is normal and you're feeling fine and measuring on track) what more could they do for you? If you go into labor would an extra appointment make a difference?
Butterflychic, I could not agree more, rolling with the punches is the best thing you can do. not like it helps to argue with them about it!! I have seen one MW mostly this whole time, but I am seeing someone new next time since they didn't have an appt with her.
And nadair, very valid point! What good would an extra appointment do? I just like things to go. as. planned.
