Big hugs to you! It really sucks how people have been jumping on your patoot. I know how hard it is to quit smoking, and I know how those cravings can just about kill you.
FWIW, in the packet my doc gave me at the beginning of my pregnancy, it said that 5+ cigs a day can harm your LO, although no cigs is best. Until the last 20 or so years, women have been smoking during pregnancy (including DH's and my moms!)... just brush it off, stay on the wagon, and keep on truckin'!!
Re: ~~~nikilina~~~ (not flaming you!)
I agree. There are far worse things you could have been doing. your not andrea yates for gripesake.
just because she could be doing something worse doesnt' justify doing something dangerous, selfish and sh11ty.
The difference in OUR moms and OURSELVES is that WE KNOW BETTER
Amen. Very well said.
Cigarettes today are a LOT different - and have a lot nastier stuff in them - than when our mothers were pregnant, btw.
I agree it's bad for the baby. But she admits it was nasty and realizes why she quit. I think while smoking was not the right thing it's great that she won't be doing it again.
