3rd Trimester

I suppose this is a question I should ask my OB, but...

I will try it here.  At today's appt, I am 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced.  My question is if you are 100% effaced, and lets say 4 cm dilated, will your OB keep you there at L&D to have your baby?

I feel stupid because I meant to ask this question to my OB and I didn't. Ugh.Indifferent

Re: I suppose this is a question I should ask my OB, but...

  • Nope - lots of gals walk around totally effaced and even more dilated for days at a time.  My doc doesn't admit until I am having contractions that are 4 minutes apart, 1 minute in duration, for at least 1 hour.
