I had an elective ultrasound at 17w3d and the sonographer was 100% confident that we're having a girl. So all actions after that have been based on the assumption that she's correct (i.e shopping, telling others). I've read a few posts where others have had an incorrect gender ultrasound and something about 3 lines. What do the 3 lines mean? Girl? If so, we're definitely having a girls b/c I can see the 3 lines. TIA!

Please tell me you are joking.

Hahahahaaha! Corn cob hole??? What is this? lol

BWHAHAHHAHHA!!!
I don't think people refer to it as that after the baby is born (I know what you mean though. It's irritating when people can't use the right terms). It's just an easy way to remember what to look for on the ultrasound (not that it's that difficult to remember, lol). Three lines, hamburger, labia, whatever.

You would see the penis dear.
ETA: Are you thinking this is a test like for your pregnancy test? The sex is determined by sonogram/ultrasound.
It's not a pee stick test.
