Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Did we talk about the baby they found in the box?

I just heard about this story last night and then saw this morning that they found her!  They are looking at the babysitter, her husband and the mother.  WTH is going on there?  I heard last night that the parents didn't know she was gone until 11:30 even though she slept in their room.  Right...because so many 7 month olds sleep until 11:30 without making a peep.

Edit to include:  They found her alive!

  • I can not, and will not read that story.  WHY DON'T PEOPLE Just give these babies up for adoption!!!  There is nothing wrong with it.  I just don't understand.
  • HOT SHIITBALLS

    That happened about 30 minutes from where I live.

    ::dead::

  • O

    G

    that made me sick to my stomach.  Can you imagine???

  • had she been in the box under the bed the entire 5 days??  I'm confused.
  • Yeah I don't get the whole "we didn't realize she went missing" thing either.

    I smell foul play.

  • Thanks for the link!  I heard this on the radio this morning and I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  WTF was the baby doing in a box under the sitter's bed and Thank God she was still alive after so many days.

    They didn't say. But the news story that I read did say she was taken to the hospital and was fine. I'm thinking they just put her under there when people came looking. After 5 days, she would have to be dehydrated at the LEAST

    that's what I was thinking too but they didn't elaborate in the story that I read.
  • From what little I can understand, the babysitter had reported the parents to CPS for being potheads and keeping a trashy house. FL CPS, being the stellar organization it always is, investigated and found that while the parents used pot daily (or something ridiculous like that), the child was only in "intermediate" danger. Maybe the babysitter took the baby to "protect" her? But then, the babysitter has a shady history, too, so...I'm confuzzled.

  • The whole story is crazy!  I *think* that the sitter has been involved with a case of a missing child before and this couple actually had a 3 year old that went missing too!  I'm not sure what the outcome of that situation was.  AND...at some point the sitter wrote a letter to the governer (or some government official) to tell him that the parents smoke and do drugs around the baby.

    It's all crazy!
