What is *really* TMI?

I always see these posts that say "TMI" and then I read them and I think, "that's nothing."

I mean we talk about our MP's, our vags', crapping, peeing our pants, our discharge, our nipples, our water breaking, bleeding....

...heck we've even had a thread about anal sex

so for me personally, I just can't think of one topic that I really feel is TMI.

so I ask you.. in YOUR opinion, what do  YOU think is TMI? I'd love to know!

all just for fun of course, no flaming allowed :P

I think most things you post on a message board is fair game,  I think most people that post with a TMI warning, are just warning those who are a bit squeamish.

I think it would be TMI if someone decided to describe taking a crap. Like, every detail of what it looked like and how hard they had to push. Maybe something like that. That probably wouldn't even bother me though. So honestly, I don't know.

This.  Also, if someone shared too intimate labor and delivery pics.  Anything else is never TMI anymore.

there was a post yestereday on the 2nd tri board with a link to pics of a couples home birth. LOTS of pic....it burned my eyes

I say it's pretty much all fair game in 3rd tri.  There's some crazy stuff going on all over you're body.  I just like a little warning in the title if it's during lunch time, or has a pic not appropriate for work.

This exactly. Even someone describing something like poop or a MP would just make me laugh, not gross me out.

I honestly don't think there is anything that anyone could post that would offend me as TMI... Even before pregnancy or in the not-pregnancy-related world... I'm just not easily shocked or grossed out I guess.

I guess every one's TMI threshold is different. I for one do not get squeamish very easily, therefore, it would take a very graphic picture to gross me out. Anything else is just normal anatomy to me. However, I sometimes put TMI on my posts because what I think is normal might be TMI for some people.
