Should the invites say a shower for " the names of the parents to be" or just my name. Don't want to make DH feel unimportant since my shower will be a coed shower?
is he planning to attend? does he Want to attend? it's up to him - and if so, then yes, have his name put on the invite. If you're the only parent to be that's going to be at the shower, then only your name would appear... at least, that's how I've seen them all done.
I think you can do it two ways. One way is to make it a general invite and include both names or make it about the mom but mention they or something. I just did a shower invite for a friend and although the illustration was of a pregnant woman with an umbrella, we did find a way to include the husband's name on it as it is a partially coed shower.
It's a mod mom theme as my friend is into trend shopping and looking stylish... so it was very fitting and the wording we came up with was..
Designer Booties, Raincoats, and Caps,
Let's shower their baby boy while he naps.
You're cordially invited to a baby shower honoring
Mom's name
Date, place, info...
I think it all depends on how the dad feels about it. Good Luck.
