Hey ladies, we live in Miami but are planning on visiting a friend of ours in December. We've only been there during the summer so we're not sure if it's the greatest idea to go in December (our baby will be 7months when we go). It's never really cold down here, and I love going up north (we usually go to NY) to visit for winters but this would be the first time with a baby. So my question is:
Does it get so cold that you usually stay indoors with your baby? Or is it still okay enough to go for a stroll if you bundle them up?
Thanks so much for the help!
Re: Visiting in December (Question)
Having gone to college in NY (upstate not NYC) I would say the weather here is not that different in the winter. In terms of being outside or inside it depends on what the weather decideds to do. Last year there was a 50 degree day or two in December. Then again, it could be below freezing...it just depends. If you do come and it is very cold there are still lots of fun things to do indoors (museums, shopping, restaurants, etc).
I care for an 18 month old and a 4 year old and I've been with the family sonce the 4 year old was 8 months. And as previously stated, December here can be unpredictable, however, I have found that it usually stays decent enough until mid January. I would recommend getting a stroller cover for LO and planning more indoor activities though, because you may find it's to cold for you to be outside for very long!
good luck!!
