eczema

how common is eczema in babies? izzie's got it all over her back, sides, abdomen, and thighs. hydrocortizone cream is helping, and we also changed her detergent, lotion, and body wash. just wondering how many of you have LO's with eczema, and what works best for baby's skin....aside from hydrocortizone cream which we can't use forever!

Re: eczema

  • I think it's pretty common..DS had it really bad last winter.  It's coming back but doesn't seem as bad yet.  The only thing that really worked well for us was Eucerin Calming Cream on a daily basis.  I also use hydrocortizone with aquaphor on top at bed time if it's really bad.

  • dd has really bad eczema & we still have not figured out what is causing it. Aquaphor is good to use but the prescription we got from the pedi is the only thing that really helps so far. I'm going to try cetaphil lotion next because of a reccommedation on here.
