Anyone want to share the cost of an IVF treatment?  I am trying to decide on my insurance for next year and I cant decide if I should get the PPO or the EPO option.  With the EPO I have to pay $250 per procedure.  The only info I have is that my clomid/FSH IUI is $1600 to start. If I chose the PPO I only pay 10% thus $160.  However, I don't know what IVF runs.  AND the person who can tell me has left AND my open enrollment ends tonight.  Forgot this part of it before hand. 

 

I know I am very fortunate that my insurance will pay for a portion.  I know many of you are OOP for everything.

I have a brochure at home that lists all the costs - if you can hold out until around 6:30 p.m.  Otherwise, based on my memory, I think the actual IVF procedure is around $20,000 and then there are other costs for meds, ICSI (if needed), embryo storage, etc.

Be sure to also compare which plan does/does not cover injectibles.  Ours only covered injectible drugs at 50% so that was like $3k out of pocket.  Sigh....  Another thing to figure in the cost.
