Pumping vent...

I'm having an awful week getting enough breastmilk from pumping and it's stressing me out (which I'm sure isn't helping the situtation).  I'm pumping about 1/2 what I normally do and can't figure out why.  It's pretty sudden, and I was pumping enough for the first 1.5 months since Liam started daycare. I wonder if since Liam just started STTN and is down to 5 nursings/bottles a day, maybe AF is on the way? 

I also know that sometimes with the Medela PISA you need to replace the membranes (those white valves), but no where here sells them.  I've tried Target and Babys R Us.  I know I've seen them in the stores before, I don't know why no where has them. I guess I'll just have to order them online and wait. 

For now I'm upping my water in take, eating oatmeal, am going to start fenugreek and am trying to get in some extra pumping sessions.  Hopefully, that will help.  I'm not ready to give up my idea that he won't ever need formula.

hmm.. I know the BRU here sell the membranes..Did your pump come with an extra set? Mine did.. I tried replacing mine though and it didn't do much.

I hope you can get it worked out. You could also add another pump session after Liam goes to bed.. That is what I did.. It might help bring up your supply during the day too.

MelissaSue - Yeah, I already used the extras and when I switch them it did seem to help.  I've heard when you use your pump a lot, which I do since going back to work, that the membranes can need to be changed as often as 1x a month.

I already do pump at night before I go to bed.  Last night, I also pumped right after I fed Liam for the last time and then had to get up this morning to pump after I fed him this morning to get enough to send to daycare today.  I think I'm going to have to take some out of my freezer stash for tomorrow.

I was thinking about getting up in the middle of the night to pump.  I think I'll give it a few days and see if anything else helps first though.

are you sure BRU doesn;t sell them?that is where i bought mine.
