I ran a virus scan on my pc and nothing was found. I went to Microsoft's website and I'm now running a scan with their tool.

I almost cried thinking I was going to lose my pictures!

This happened to us about a month ago.  We couldn't get the computer to work for a few days and I really thought the pictures were gone.  We do backup our pictures but hadnt done it in a few months.

Thankfully, the pictures were fine.  Digital cameras are great, but not having  a copy of your picture and relying on the computer can be scary.
