Poll: How are you gonna tell people when you get your BFP?

No real plan yet.  I'll tell DH right away, tell you guys soon thereafter, and tell the rest of the world after 1st tri.

I am not creative so I will probably just tell DH and show him the test. We are going to wait to tell family this time. When we tell them we plan to email an u/s picture and let them open it. We don't live close to family.

1.  I'm going to put a hamburger bun on a plate in the oven.  Then when DH gets home I'll say, "Hey, I got you something at the store today.  It's in the oven."  Then I'll see how long it takes him to figure out "bun in the oven" and I'll be waiting in the living room with the video recorder on to catch his reaction.

2.  We're going to wait until after our first successful ultrasound to tell family.  Probably at about 8 weeks.  Then we'll say, "We got the coolest picture developed today, you have to see it!"  Then show them the ultrasound photo.

3.  I come up with new ways every month.  Even if I knew, I'll never tell.  I'm not ruining the suprise!

Not real sure.  The last time I was gonna buy my dog a t-shirt that said "I'm gonna be a big Sis" and have her wear it around until DH and my parents caught on, but I never did it.  Next time, I'll probably be so excited/nervous/scared that I won't be able to focus on any cutesy way to tell everyone.

ummm... don't really think about it too much right now, it'll just get my hopes up and make me depressed... But cautiously for sure!!!  Oh except the board you girls... after DH will know, but thats it

DH, I will probably just tell him or he'll be around when I test.

For family, I'm going to make a digital scrapbook/story of our DD, and on the last page, put a photo of her in a "Big Sister" shirt.

my FI will probably know second, maybe after my first US. 

The rest of the world will know probably the day I hit my 2trimester

1.  How are you going to tell DH?  Always before I've told him right away, nothing special.  Next time (if I can contain my excitement long enough), I would like to get a onesie or some baby item and suprise him.

2.  How are you going to tell family?  Well, if we are lucky enough to get a BFP this cycle, I think a great way to tell would be with a Christmas gift.  Maybe a picture of me, FI, and SS with a card that says next year there will be four in this picture... or something cute like that.

3.  How are you going to tell the board?  Probably an ambiguous post title and then huge caps on the inside.

well Bryan knows I get to start testing sometime this weekend.  I really want to put off testing until Monday morning.  I plan to go and get a test and then possibly if it's positive run back out and get something super cute to tell him with.  **See hopes up already**

 

You girls will of course know right away...as soon as the dang thing comes up lol

Everyone else IRL probably won't know until at least 24 weeks.  I know it's going to be super hard, but since I went into labor at 20 weeks last time and everyone knew it was so hard!  Luckily we don't live close to friends and family so it wont be so hard to hide it.  Close family like my mom and grandparents will know sooner.

1. I planned on buying DD a I'm a big sister shirt and put her in it when DH comes home from work. I doubt that'll happen b/c there's no way in hell I'll be able to keep it a secret from him for longer than 10 minutes.

2. Since my family lives far away, I'll send them an email photo of DD with the big sister shirt and have them open the picture while on the phone.

3. You girls will most likely be the 1st to know since you are usually on me for not testing! I'll probably just do a regular post but I'm sure it'll be filled with lots of typos since I'll be shaking while typing!

1.  How are you going to tell DH? While I'd love some elaborate plan or gift or thing to show him, reality is, my heart will start racing and I will not be able to contain myself.

2.  How are you going to tell family? not sure this time around . . .first time we gave my dad a onesie that said "Grandpa is my hero", second time I emailed the u/s pic around and said "this time we have a jelly bean" (b/c the first time was blighted ovum). . .

3.  How are you going to tell the board? THAT is a surprise, obviously! but you will know before my family I am sure of that.

I don't have a plan yet for my next BFP.

When we found out with the baby we just lost, I made my DD a shirt that says, "Big sister in training." We announced it to everyone that way. I took a picture of her in it and emailed it to people who don't live near us.  Oy.

I think about this all the time!

1) I don't think I can keep it a secret from DH to tell him in a cute way, maybe I'll keep a mini bow handy and stick it on the stick.

2) The last time I was PG, I was going to have a shirt made for my nephew that said "I'm Going to Be a Big Cousin" made and have him open it in front of everyone at a dinner or something.  I found the site and everything last time I was PG, but was waiting to see the heart beat before ordering it, but that never happened

3) I don't know how I would tell the board... hopefully my newbie status goes away by then.

ETA: I found a really cool and coincidental way to tell my girlfriends here last time. I won't be doing that again. This sh*t really does suck ALL the fun and excitement right out of it.

This. Feeling negative today. I'm trying to figure out how to avoid seeing my family for about 9 months.
