    Change takes time.  Think of how long it took for women to get the vote and for blacks to gain equality.  Gays have only been mainstream for, what?  20 years?  Humanity isn't becoming more accepting over time.  We only find new things to be afraid of.

    and there's my deep thoughts for the day.  hell, probably for the whole week :)

    I live in Maine. I voted No on 1. I went to the rally, I talked to people about it... I really thought we could do this.

    We had an almost 60% voter turnout. Unfortunately, people are idiots. Keep in mind, though, that almost 50% of us AREN'T idiots. So, at least we have that.

    I'm disheartened to say the least.
