Is Whole milk clumpy?

If so that is nasty! I bought whole milk at costco and the sell by date was Nov 5th. But it was clumpy. Is that just the fats in it? I want to find an organic whole milk any suggestions? I was not sure so I did not give it to Hailey. I shook it up but it was still really clumpy. Yuck I so almost puked.

  • Its thick but not clumpy. I think that might already be bad..yuck!
  • best deal for organic whole milk is Trader Joes.  But you can also buy the non organic there that does not have hormones in it.  Their prices are the best.

  • You can find good deals on organic and both Safeway and T-Joes. It should NOT be chunky! Ick!

  • Ewwww. It gets clumpy when it goes bad or IF it's left out for a while.  Gross.
  • Yuck, no.  We get Smith Brother's delivered to our house.   They offer organic, but we get the regular because it is rBST free.

We do the same thing :)

Good call on not giving her the milk. Sounds like that milk is spoiled.

  • It should not be lumpy and for that matter if it is organic milk it should have a longer shelf life then non organic and shouldn't need to be refrigerated until open. The reason why is that organic milk is heated at a higher temperture then the non organic milk and kills all bacteria. Which also means you can't make cheese with it - way off tangent, sorry.
