Tell me about Publix cookies for little ones

Does Publix give kids a free cookie? It seems like I read this or heard this somewhere. I saw a little girl eating a cookie from the bakery in there today, and I almost asked ... but didn't. It was lunchtime anyway, but I have been wondering about this but keep forgetting to look it up, etc.

I don't know about cookies, Karen, but I do know they will give the kids a free chicken finger from the deli!!! They are GOOD too and Kate loves them, so I always get her one, especially if it's near lunch or dinner time because they are big and keep her occupied for the whole time

Yes they sure do! ?We just walk up and most of the time don't even have to ask! ?Ours offers either sugar or choc. chip!?

Yes, free cookies. Marah loves them you can choose Sugar or Chocolate Chip.

Yep, just ask...our Publix keeps them behind the counter (I guess so kids don't take too many, and there aren't as many germs?).  I always get sugar, b/c my kids make a huge mess with the chocolate chip.  Then I swing by the deli counter and buy my turkey and they always give me a free slice for each kid.  I totally go at lunch time, and they have turkey and cookie for lunch.

Yep, Benjamin has his girlfriend at the Publix bakery who gives him a chocolate chip cookie whenever she sees him.  Like the pp said, all you have to do is ask for it at the bakery.

I think pretty much every grocery store does it.  I know all the ones in Augusta do (except Fresh Market and Whole Foods).

There is actually a kids club card that they stamp when they give you a free cookie.  After you get enough stamps, they will enter your child into a monthly drawing.

Publix has been doing the kids club/cookie card since I was a little girl.  My mom used to drag us all to the bakery as soon as we got there so all 3 of us could get cookies and "be quiet" while she shopped

Another reason why I LOVE Publix!!!

Say what???  Another reason to love Publix!  Gavin is a good shopper so I always take him with me- but we have never stopped at the bakery or deli... so I guess we need to start huh?
