Hello,

Anyone on here take Provera. I am in the midst of a 7 day treatment and am wondering what will happen if it doesn't make me get my period. Is the only other option Birth Control Pills?

I've been asking myself and everyone else, including RE that for the past couple of months. I'm taking Prometrium (like Provera) and AF hasn't shown her Biotch face yet. I finished my 2nd round weeks ago and nothing the first round either.

 I've never wanted to bleed so badly before

Provera didn't work for me a few times.  Eventually, the RE said that spotting would count as my AF and begin a new cycle.  Luckily, I did spot so we moved on to a new cycle.  BCP can be a last resort to get your cycle back on track, but hopefully it won't come to that.  GL!

I have taken provera 3 different times.  The first time AF didnt come until 4 days after i took the last pill.  The past two times AF came after taking the pill for only 4-6 days.  Good luck!

It can take up to 14 days after the last pill to start bleeding. If you don't by then, call your doctor.

You can switch to prometrium and last resort, there is a progesterone shot.

I was on Provera last cycle and it took 8 days from my last pill.  This month I was on Prometrium and I think it took 3 days from my last period!   However, my sister was on Prometrium and didn't get a period the first time. IT worked for her the second time she was on it.  I think sometimes people's bodies just have to have time to catch up, when introduced to new hormones!

This is was my 4th round of provera.  AF came 4 days after the last pill with the first 2 cycles and this cycle we tried 7 pills instead of 10.  AF came the day after the last pill.

Thanks everyone. I actually got it 3 days after my last pill. Guess I worried over nothing. It seemed to work just fine. Thanks again!
