What are you getting your 2nd (or 3rd) child for Christmas?

Poor Andersen doesn't really *need* anything.  I definitely want to get him some things, though -- especially since his birthday is the week before Christmas.  I need some ideas.

  • What about some personalized things?

    .
  • No freaking idea. We have so many toys/ride on things from DD that J can use. I'll probably get him some trucks or something since M never had that kind of stuff.

  • IDK, she is using all of DS's old baby toys that are in mint condition!  Maybe I'll put a few (that she hasn't already been playing with) under the tree "from Santa" and get a couple of girly toys.  I know I want to get her an Anywhere Chair in a girly color with her name.  That thing has been worth its weight in gold over the years for DS.  I might get her some clothes too.

  • These are my ideas so far for DS:

    Train table

    Thomas DVDs

    Personalized Hooded towel

For DS #2--who has a chance of making a before Xmas arrival-nothing but grandma is sending him warm clothes and a new bouncer

  • DC #2 has a birthday a few days before Christmas as well.  Last year, we special ordered a doll (waldorf doll - stuffed with wool to retain warmth and minimal features, very well made heirloom quality and adorable clothes!) for Christmas.  She and DS got a table and chairs as a mutual big gift.  She also got some books, crayons, clothes and bath toys.

Her bday last year (1yr old), she got a little "dollhouse" by iplay shaped like a mushroom with 3 girl fairies and a couple little peices of furniture.  She loved it (it was for 18mo+).

Ideas for her bday this year is an Angelina Ballerina doll and book set and going to see the nutcracker! :)  Maybe something else small :)

For Christmas, she and the other two are getting a play kitchen set with accessories for their big gift.  She's really into looking at works of art, so I want to get her some books with lots of different paintings in it.  She's also getting some dress up clothes.

DC#3 this year will be 10 mo at Christmas, so I was looking over playmobile 1-2-3 sets (for 18mo), a LON anywhere chair, first doll, bath toys, clothes, nightlight, board books, Muppet show season 1.  Things that she will use or grow into using through the new year, as her b-day is close to Christmas too.

  • Check out www.etsy.com and www.oompa.com too.  Oompa is one of our fav places to shop, as they carry most toys from European makers, so not the norm found in most stores :)
  • When #2 was little, I used the holidays as an excuse to buy her things she needed, like pedipeds, new PJs, etc.  She was only 6 mos old, she didn't know the difference.  But, I felt better.

this year, she is getting some leapster games, a Tag Jr. book, an electric toothbrush, some PJs, a Mrs. Potato Head, a My Little Pony.  She's 2.

  • With b/g twins, I feel like we already own every toy known to man for that age group.  But Adam's into Elmo and the twins never were, so he's getting an Elmo Live.  No idea what else.
