I'm so eager to get pg again but I hear contrasting evidence of fertility while EBF. Just wondering if anyone had great success at getting pg again VERY SOON PP if EBF.

got pg when dd was about a year, kept nursing for a little over 2 more months, then she started biting too hard all the time- we were already down to 2 feedings a day at that time...
I EBF for 12.5 mo, got pg with DD#2 when DD#1 was 9 mo old. I had only gotten one AF right before that.
Although your chances are slim, my friend's brother was born 10 mo. after her, and her mom had been EBF (back then she thought that was the only BC she needed -- apparently not).
I think you have a better chance like pp said after 6 months, for me I got my period at 6 months and it was then I knew I was fertile for sure. We did use condoms up until 9 months though since I didnt want them too close, and didnt trust bfing as a method of not getting pg.

I breastfed my daughter until she was 15 1/2 months. Of course, by then, she was eating some solids. However, I found out I was pregnant with my son when my daughter was almost 14 months. I don't remember pregnancy effecting my supply at all.
eta: two more things:
my 2u2 are 22 months apart.
I got my first 'real' pp period when dd was 3 1/2 months old.
I didn't ovulate until I started to wean out sessions and that was with both girls. DD#1 was 10 months old when we got pregnant with DD#2 but we tried from 6wks on. We then started trying for DC#3 when DD#2 turned 1. Once I stopped bfing I began to ovulate and got pregnant within two cycles. So women have no problems getting preg. while bfing but not us, it was a form of contraception for us. GL!!!!
I did not get AF until I had weaned DD down to 3 sessions a day, around 11 months old. When it's all said and done, DD and baby 2 will be just under 22 months apart- Perfect timing IMHO!
Re: XP: How close R ur 2u2 if U BF'd?
Your chances of getting PG in your first 6 months of EBF are pretty slim. From months 6-12, though, you have better luck.
Best wishes!

I never got my period back and got PG with #2 while BFing DS. He was 9 months old when I got PG.
You have a better chance as one PP said with getting PG again after 6 months. However, trying is always fun

My dr said if I don't want another baby to not take chances because it can happen anytime even with EBFing.
My two are 16 months apart and DD was EBF until she was 9.5 months (I lost my supply due to being pg with DS).
This is me too. Still EBFing and pregnant w/ #2, and they will be 17mo apart. AF came at 5m PP.

Got my first PP AF at 8.5 months, and got KU'd immediately. Still EBF'ing DD (along with solids).
