Any of you ladies know of good sites or anything that have a little bit cheaper crib bedding? I know most of it is fairly expensive, but I'm having a hard time convincing my hubby to spend over $100 on baby bedding! Lol
Target has some cute separates you can put together for less than $100. Otherwise, most of the sites are around at least $125. Oh and Walmart had a couple cute sets as well in the clearance section. GL
I originally went with the Cocalo Alphabet Soup bedding which cost me almost $200. Then, I realized that that was a dumb idea, we moved to a new house, and I wanted to do DD's room in pink & yellow.
So, I sold our other bedding on craigslist for $100, and then I purchased a set from Walmart on clearance. It looks exactly like a PB baby set, and I love it! I think I paid less than $40 for it.
Honestly, I would never spend $100+ on bedding again. The bedding sheets are stiff and scratchy, you don't use the quilt (sometimes not the bumper), so really all we were using was the dust ruffle. I would save your money to buy adorable bedding later when she moves to a big bed.
ETA: This is what we have now:
I think it is called "Claire's Garden" by Ticklicious.
Here is an ebay seller who is recommended on the boards. 13-piece bedding sets for $50 plus $20 S/H. I just ordered a set today so I can't attest to the quality yet, but it is returnable, it definitely looks adorable and I have seen others use this ebay store.
I found that buying separates was a lot cheaper than buying a whole collection. A lot of people will tell you that they don't use the quilt, diaper stacker, and maybe the bumper. I found a great deal at PBK for sheets, skirt and bumper. If you have an idea of colors or theme, you can choose different pieces from several collections.
I found some bedding that I liked that I think I'm going to go with at Target...at first, I was nervous to buy a less expensive set, b/c everything I had liked prior was easily +$200, but I think I'll go with it, and splurge on some nicer extra sheets...
