Would you or do you have a problem with this?

This past week, two times my mil has just dropped by without notice of any kind. One day she stayed for a while...DH had gotten off of work early so I was enjoying just the three of us being home and then she just stops by. Then today too, she wanted to give me something, which is nice, but it just rubs me the wrong way I guess. If she would call or send a text asking I would respond better. Would this or does it bug you? Maybe its just me...

It wouldn't me, but I have a very weird MIL relationship.  She is one of my best friends and my biggest cheerleader.

It wouldn't bother me since I love my mil and used to practically live with her.

That would definitely bug me.  My mom used to do this so I made a point of not getting the door if I wasn't expecting company.  We live on the 3rd and 4th floors so I don't like going down all those stairs for some marketing thing or political support person.  When my mom mentioned that she stopped by, I asked why she didn't call ahead because I was in the shower and didn't hear the bell?  She said it was spur of the moment... but hasn't done it since

Yes, annoy is the word!! Its annoying and I know when DH was home and she stopped by it bugged him too, not that she came by but that she did so without calling or asking..

Ditto.  However, if it were my mom, different story.  She is always trying to get into our business some way.  My MIL never has a hidden agenda, but my mom usually does.

it wouldn't bother me at all, but i've got a great relationship with my mil and would love the extra pair of hands here.

I personally don't like anyone just stopping by.  I prefer that they call or whatever and let me know.  Might have something to do with me always being alone, not sure though.  Many times I have not answered my door for a certain annoying "friend".  She has been told many times not to stop by and that I will not answer.  I am always so busy with my kids, plus some days I just don't want to be around some people lol.
