Let's discuss Oobi, aka the weird hand show on Noggin tonight.

I didn't even realize that this was a real show.  I had seen it on the Soup, but didn't realize it was an actualy Nickelodeon show.

That being said, my child totally loved watching "Boobie."  Seriously.  I think I was entranced with it too because it was so bizarre.  

In the interest of full disclosure, the family portrait sent me into a three minute long fit of giggles.  Hys-ter-i-cal.

S runs from the room screaming when it comes on. "I scared, Mama! I scared!" It's just SO weird. But Joel McHale should make a cameo.?

DD called it "Boobie" too.

DD and DS sat on my lap for 15 minutes watching it. I was looking at the t.v. and thinking, "WTF?" "DD said, don't you love it mommy?"

It IS weird and further proves my theory that all kids shows are created by people on mind altering drugs.

That is the one show I can't stand.  It is on really late at night so the kids only see it if they are up late and sick.  I am so glad that it isn't on during the day.  I wish Noggin got rid of that show and kept Jack's Big Music Show.

That show started out with just Oobi as a little 60 second bit between the real shows on Noggin.  Then they went out and gave him his own show with other characters.  That was a few years ago, I think they only made 1 seasons worth of episodes.  I didn't realize it was still on at all.

It was on in the mornings a few years ago.  It's the first thing we watched in the morning when I stayed home with the kids.  Ethan had to watch and then eat breakfast - sometimes would get upset when it was over.  I think it's a very cute show.
