I have no plans on doing an entire name in letters for the nursery, but I found a really nice K today and some pretty scrapbook paper to cover it with. My question is-- have any of you covered a wooden letter with paper (front only)? If so, could you explain how you did it?
Thanks!!
Re: DIY letter question?
I'm in the process of doing it know. I used Mod Podge (I think that's the name) used a sponge brush and covered entire letter with athin layer. I had the paper upside down on the table and put the letter on it and pressed hard to get the bubbles out. I used a utility knife to cut around the edge of the letter. Once it was dry I put a couple more layers of the Mod Podge over it to give it a shine. Here's my O I did.

I just finished working on mine, it was REALLY easy, just make sure you don't use too much mod podge, otherwise it will bubble. I glued the paper on the letter before I cut the paper out. I'm going to wait until they dry and then use a razor knife to cut around the letters. After that, I think I will put another layer of mod podge on top to seal the paper.
GL!!
Thanks for the info! I will give it a shot tomorrow-- I'm a teacher, and we have mod podge at school ;-)
Also, thanks about the name-- we love it, too. It was both of our first choices for names. We are keeping it a secret from our friends and family until he's born, so it's nice to get a compliment on it from someone!! :-)
