okay, im so excited because basically everything in the nursery is done our color scheme was green, pink, and white (when we moved in, the room was green, and i loved it! so we kept it ?hehe) as my hubby says...this was my room, my vision. i did everything by myself (except put the furniture together...DHs job
). we both love it!
?
this is what you see when you open the door...?
across from the open door, there is a small wall (part of the closet). this is what you see on the other side of the room when you pass that "wall"...
?
left wall (where door opens to) --blue butterfly heritage box (DIY) and three cube shelves, holding a pair of pink ballerina slippers, U/S photo, flower from maternity photos, and my black dressy shoes from when i was a baby...
?
same wall...bookshelf, two of the green boxes also have books, and the other two have toys and extra receiving blankets (on top, red heart frame with poem inside, and little piggy bank that was mine)...?
corner (next to bookshelf) with glider that was my moms from my baby nursery, sitting area covered with blankets from my infancy, on the top a blanket i bought that says "thank heaven for little girls" in the corner, a nightstand with a basket holding extra blankets, and three photos i took of LOs coming home dress, baby booties, and the teddy bear DH and I made for her at build a bear (DIY wall hangings)...
corner opposite glider (on other side of window) with the dresser/changing table that was also my moms from my baby nursery (we are just using it as a dresser), shelf with the items in the pictures above the glider, and my DIY bow holder...
close up of corner (the dress on the right is her take home outfit, the dress on the left was mine)...
next to dresser is the crib/changing table combo (4 way convertible). the bedding is flowery, pink and green. we did not have a "theme", so we chose to use the mobile my mom kept from my nursery with horses on it...had pink and green that matched well in the room.
my DIY letters hanging above her crib...
changing table with three drawers in the front, and behind there are three shelves also...
last but not least, the final wall that has the closet. in the left corner, a set of DIY maternity pictures above a white 9 drawer storage area...to the right of the closet, a framed copy of a winnie the pooh quote. i chose to organize the clothing by size...
?
?
my question is this....above the closet we are getting a decal that says "answered prayer" in white ( the meaning of LOs name). i also wanted to get a dark pink decal that says "sugar and spice and everything nice...thats what little girls are made of"...should it go below her name, or directly above the book shelf??
?
thanks ladies! hope you like it!?

Re: 99.9% complete nursery!!! and a little advice requested! PsIP!
Cute! And it's so complete!
Where did you get the cube shelving/boxes? We're looking for something just like that.
You're nursery looks amazing!
I would put the dark pink decal above the bookshelf as you already have alot of pink on the bed side of the nursery, but it would look cute on either wall.
The room is adorable! I'm not quite done with my LO but I still have 3 days.
FWIW I think the 'sugar and spice' should go above the bookshelf. It will help fill the empty space between the butterfly box and decorative boxes.
thanks ladies!?
we got the cube storage from Target, they have TONS of colors...if you go to their site, search for 9-cube storage
?
i put the letters higher thinking i would put the decal under it, and then i looked at the other wall and thought...hmmm...when we hung the stuff up, i liked the bookshelf being the focus of that wall, now, i dunno. haha choices, choices!?
"Wearing his BING CROSBY clothes and crooning...buuuh buuh buuuh"
first of all your nursery looks amazing you have done such a good job!
I would personally put the sugar and spice quote above the book shelf.
The nursery looks AMAZING!! You put in lots of love and hardwork!!
I would put the pink decal above the book shelf... IMO
Definitely the quote above the bookshelf, it's a big empty space that's begging for something there. I also like the idea of the meaning of her name below her actual name, since you put it up rather high.
Nursery looks great! Nice job
