antibiotic = green poop?

Elizabeth has an ear infection and is on amoxicilin. Since starting it, her poop has been green (not frothy green like with a foremilk or dairy issue).

I'll ask the pediatrician, but I'm guessing this goes hand in hand with either the antibiotic or the infection itself? Poor baby! It's 9:30 a.m. and we're on outfit #3!

Antibiotics can definitely cause poop issues.  My NP told me to give DS a yogurt with each dose.  His stools were still a little loose but not too bad.  Are you guys doing yogurt yet?  I forgot to look to see how old your LO is.

yeah antibiotics cause weird poo issues...we had a double ear at 3m and had diarrhea with it and I think green poo too.

this time we gave baby florastar for kids or something  like that.  Our pedi prescribed it last time but we didn't give it to him, but we gave it to him a little this time - not the full amount....it was given to us by pharmacist so it isn't over the counter....might want to ask them about this.

antibiotics kill allthe good stuff in our intestines too...my DH gets that a lot (sorry for TMI) with any antibiotic.
