Wine related question

DH and I are getting ready for a halloween party. I would really like a glass of wine before we go, but I will probably be drinking vodka at the party. Will I hate life in the morning if I mix?

Not after one glass.  If you drank a bottle and THEN vodka, yes, life would suck.

Just one glass of wine won't do any damage before switching to something else..

 however, too much vodka may make you have a miserable morning Just pace yourself!
