another cooking ?

I have a pound of ground chicken I just got out to use and realized it says sell by Oct. 26th.  It's been in my fridge so it is fresh/thawed, never been frozen.  Is it okay to use?  I'm not sure if sell by date is the same as use/freeze by date.

"When in doubt throw it out!"  I probably wouldn't use it.  I hate throwing away food, but meat makes me nervous.  My mom would say smell it first, but raw meat always smells gross to me!

The sell by date is different than the use by date.  I would go ahead and use it, but wouldn't wait much longer.

It's only been 4 days.  As long as it's been refrigerated, it's fine.

I would definitely use it.  But I tend to use a lot of stuff beyond it's expiration date
