Do we need to get 1 or 2 doses of H1N1 vax?

Last time I asked the pedi she said it was still not certain if DD would need 1 or 2 doses of the H1N1 vaccine -does anyone know the final verdict on this?  With it being so scarce, I'm a little concerned about even being able to get 2 doses if needed....  thanks!

  • all i know is if they are under 10 years old and get the shot they need 2 doses 28 days apart.
  • Kids need 2 doses. DS had his first dose this morning and the pedi told me to start calling back in two weeks to see if they have more/if I can get a second dose. They are still in really short supply here, so he may not get the 2nd dose for a while.

  • DD got the mist and theys said two 1 month apart.
  • Ditto- anyone under the age of 10 needs the 2nd dose no sooner than 28 days after the 1st dose. Parents are advised to get the 2nd dose as close to 28 days after as they can. DD just got her 1st dose yesterday.

  • Little ones (don't know the age range) get the shot and then the booster about 30 days later.
  • Oh and it's not like getting two first time doses. It's a booster just like their very first flu shot at 6m.
