No costume for me, and no LO, but I think my favorite costume was the year I went as a tree. We had no $, and my dad found out about a tree being cut down near our house. He hacked down some branches, tied them around me with one of his belts, and painted my face green. I lost a few branches over the course of the evening, but it was a FUN costume!
No costume for me....Jade is going as a pink butterfly:) She has her party this afternoon at DC...I'm dying to go...I might have to sneak out early today! DD said he would go and take pics but I can't bear to miss it now...
My favorite costume was Pippy Longstocking...we bent a clothes hanger around my head and braided my hair to it...fun times...
No costumes for me, but my favorite costume from my childhood was a clown outfit my mom sewed for me. It was adorable. It had two different patterns and the patterns were split right down the middle of the costume and there were big pom pom buttons on it.
My mom made it for me when I was around 8, but I wore it all the way through middle school! (it started off long enough to reach my wrists and ankles and eventually it stopped at my knees and elbows but I just wore funny long socks and a turtleneck underneath it)
I wish I still had it for our future LOs!!
After 5 years of TTC, 3 IUIs, 5 IVFs, 2 FETs, multiple losses and an adoption that wasn
I had these big grand plans to dress the entire family up to coordinate. It made me smile every time I envisioned it. Cooper was going to be Peter Pan, Charlotte was going to be Tinkerbell, I would be Wendy and my DH would be Captain Hook.
My toddlers had other plans.
Charlotte tried to rip her tinkerbell costume off and melted into a puddle of tears and shreaks like the costume was killing her. Cooper took off his Peter Pan costume and just to make sure I knew he hated it, he didn't stop at the costume and proceeded to take his diaper off and streak through the house.
So then I bought cute little puffy costumes for them (thank god for sales!). Charlotte was going to be a pink puffy monster and Cooper was going to be a dragon. Those both resulted in tantrums.
So then I tried a ballerina outfit on Charlotte--really just leggings and a onesie with a tutu. She flipped out again.
So now the plan is to put Cooper in his skeleton pajamas. Then we'll put Charlotte in skull leggings, a cute litte v-neck top that laces up, and do her hair in a pony tail mohawk to make her a little punk rocker. If that fails, we can always put Cooper in Charlotte's clothes and Charlotte in Cooper's clothes and make them be the opposite sex.
Life with toddlers who have their own opinion is interesting.
I have a couple of go-to costumes - one is an 80s prom dress and the other is a poodle skirt. I'm going with the poodle skirt this year. Edith is a butterfly:
My most favorite costume of all time, was a camera I made out of a box. The lens was an empty tub from Baskin Robbins and the shutter release was a red solo cup. It was awesome and the best part was I came up with it and made it all by myself.

No costume for me, although DH really wants us to dress up like Zombies. I have no idea where he got that.
My favorite costume was when I was punky brewster as a kid. I kind of looked like her, so it was fun to dress up like her.
DS is going to be a T-Rex. We saw a dinosaur show over the summer, and he has been growling ever since.
No costumes for us, but Annie is going to be a bee.

No costume for me, but I loved the Raggedy Ann costume I had when I was little.
Ben is going to be a pumpkin as seen below.
Not planning on dressing up tomorrow. I have to fly a trip...was going to wear cat's ears and tail but can't find them
Can't remember any fave costumes as a kid
Here is Shelby as a pink leopard for Boo at the Zoo and a flower for tomorrow.
I probably won't be dressing up, but normally I do. My favorite costume growing up was probaby when I was a 'punk rocker'.
Zoe is going to be a polar bear cub:
