Too big for NB diapers, too small for size 1?

My son doesn`t like wearing NB diapers anymore because the leg openings are tight around his chubby little legs. He is 8lbs 14oz right now and wears Pampers.

So we switched to size 1 and he is much more comfortable but these things are huge on him! We also just had a big blowout all over him because the poo spilled out the leg holes which are too big.

What do you do in a situation like this? Just keep cleaning the blowouts or put him back in NB which contains them but makes him uncomfortable?

you may want to try pulling the s1 diaper up, then angling the tabs down.  that worked for the huggies (i got from my shower and didn't want to waste) that DD kept having blowouts in b/c the leg holes were too big.  or you can try switching to huggies NB for a short amount of time b/c they seem to have larger leg holes or at least did with DD.  get the P&N though b/c the regular ones have the dye that gets smelly when wet.

We are using NB Huggies that someone gave us temporarily. They're bigger than NB pampers. Can't wait to get into size 1 Pampers, though. The Huggies just seem too rough texture-wise.

We went from Pampers NB to Huggies NB cause they are bigger.  I am now using Pampers 1 because I ran out of the NB that people had bought for me, they are a little big still but I just do what other pp have said to do.  I could go back to Huggies NB if I wanted, but Im not a huge fan of the Huggies.

eh ... I say keep using 1's.  Just angle the tabs downward like pp said ... you don't want your LO in diapers that are too small cause it's uncomfortable I'm sure

thanks i think ill pick up a pack of huggies today cause the pampers are too night, and the size 1s are too big!!!
