For those of you who read my last post about our friend's baby girl heading to CHLA for her last hope...amazing, miraculous news! The doctors there did a reverse heart cath and discovered an unconnected pulmonary artery. This is literally the miracle finding!!
The arterty did not show up in the regular cath CHOC did b/c blood was not flowing through it but CHLA docs wanted to look again at the reverse blood flow and found it! Today baby Saylor had open heart surgery and they were able to connect the artery. Now she has two funcitonal lungs with nothing artificial needed to keep the blood flow going. A long ways still to go with this process but she pulled through it and is looking great! This is the greatest, most moving news ever!!! We are pumped!
Please pray for strength for her recovery, for mommy and daddy's strength and sanity, and for the doctors to have the wisdom and insight to know what to do next in order to provide this babe with a long and healthy life. Incredible day!!

Wow, what amazing news! I really hope everything continues to go well for this little girl.
If her mom is interested, have her check out this site: https://www.ourlettersofhope.com/ It was recommended to me by the mom of another little girl with a very serious heart defect that required a transplant. It might be a nice way for her to gain information and connect with others who can understand what they are all going through.
