I had a separate fetal echo and it was really short. Literally like 20/25 minutes. It could be because the babies were in good positions and didn't move much. They also saw that everything looked good so that could be why. They told me that they schedule a 1 1/2 hr time slot for fetal echos normally but mine was alot faster.
Growth ultrasounds usually take a long time because they have to get measurements of every part of their little bodies. I have had ones that took 45 minutes to an hr and a half.
Mine took about 1-1/2 hours. The tech spent about 30 minutes on each baby and then the doctor came in to look more closely at the hearts (my sister has a heart defect) and get clearer images, missed measurements, etc.
Well I'm not sure what that is but I had the u/s where they check everything from head to toe (and I mean every organ, bone, feature) for birth defects and it took about 45 minutes.
Re: Anyone do fetal echo/genetic u/s @ 20ish weeks?
