If you take or have taken Wellbutrin (or something similar)

I just started today and am nervous about taking anything at all.  I was wondering if you had any side effects of any kind?

I've had a rough 6 months or so and really would like some relief.  How long did it take before you noticed a difference (I know the doc told me a few weeks or so)?

How did you feel different?

when I started Wellbutrin, I had a couple days of headaches and dizziness, but after that it was smooth sailing.  If I remember correctly (this was a long time ago), I was feeling much better within 3 weeks' time or so.

Thanks Summer, when it starts working will it make me feel jittery (like too much coffee) or mellow (like everything is puppies and rainbows), something in the middle or am I completely off?

Can you tell I've never done this before...lol?

I'd pretty much like to feel anything other than the blah that I feel right now.

for me, it just leveled things off.  I didn't feel artificially happy or zombie-mellow.  I could just use the rational part of my brain again, and even out the rational/emotional balance out in my brain, if that makes sense.

I felt really sick on wellbutrin and quit before anything could have come out of it.

I never had one side effect on Wellbutrin. After a few weeks I felt a lot less anxious and jittery, but I never noticed a change in my moods, and I never felt zombie-like. It was seriously an easy drug to be on.

I had no side effects.

If it works correctly, it doesn't make you feel jittery or mellow.  It just makes you feel like a normal person.

I was nauseous but it was worth it.  I felt better in about 2 weeks if I remember correctly.  I also lost a ton of weight on it because I felt so sick.  I don't feel sick now but my body got used to less food.  Now I don't need to eat as much to feel full:)
