Pregnant after a Loss

Just when you think

sleep can't get any worse, IT DOES!! Ugh, I was SO uncomfortable last night I can't even tell you. I tossed and turned ALL night long and my hips were killing me, I was awake for hours at a time. DH is home from his business trip, and I swear, I know it hurts his feelings but I slept SO much better when he was gone and I had the bed to myself! Last night between him taking up space and snoring and 2 of the cats smothering me I about started crying at one point!! Crying I feel like such a wimp, but I'm just getting so cranky and uncomfortable - just sitting at work is uncomfortable!! Up to this point I haven't really had any complaints, but now I'm starting to feel crabby and tired and I hate feeling like I can never get in a comfortable position. I guess the worst part is knowing I have about 6 more weeks to go and it's only going to get WORSE - AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Okay, whiney vent over.

Re: Just when you think

  • I, too, am tossing and turning a lot. "Luckily" DH has a bad cold (and I did a week ago) so he's been sleeping in the guest room. He may stay there after recovering, though, because he doesn't sleep well with my pregnancy-induced snoring. I take comfort in knowing that I can nap during the day. I don't know how I would make it through if I couldn't.

  • I've been sleeping on the couch lately.  I'm already uncomfortable in our bed and w/ DH snoring I get more sleep on the couch.  Plus, I can kind of prop myself using the back of the couch and it helps using the body pillow.  I know what you mean though when DH was OOT a couple of weeks ago and I did sleep in the bed I was able to get comfortable, he takes up too much space for me and I'm not even close to being in my pregnancy as you are.  :)

  • I understand your guilt completely!  My DH works nights and while I love it when he is home and can come to bed with me, I sleep MUCH better when he is at work.  I am so much more comfortable in the middle of the bed, and I don't have to worry about waking him with my pregnancy-induced snoring when he's not home.
