Pregnant after a Loss

How I know this is a "sticky" baby...

Babe was conceived on our 4 year anniversary, which is also the birthdate of my deceased grandpa who was one of the kindest, gentlest men I have ever known.  And the significance of his birthday is that DH and I agreed a long time ago that if we were to ever be blessed with a boy, he would be named after my grandpa.  These are my "signs" keep me positive when I start to question things.

  • I'm ALL about "signs" too. This babe was conceived on/around Valentine's Day and the first time I saw her heartbeat was on St. Patrick's Day... her NN was Lucky for the longest time!

  • I had some crazy signs with this baby too!

    - Two weeks after I gave birth to Dylan, I decided to look up when I'd have to get pg to still have an 09 baby. I estimated that my period would start on March 14, which made my EDD December 19. December 19 is my 88 yr old grandmother's birthday. And, I actually DID start my period on March 14, exactly 5 weeks after I gave birth - and I got pregnant that cycle. My EDD is December 19, 2009.

    - I knew I wouldn't have a boy. I didn't think I'd be able to handle having a boy so soon after losing one. I decided at 4 weeks pregnant that her name would be Vivian...I just liked the name. Well a couple weeks later I decided to look up the meaning of the name Vivian, and it means..."Alive"

  • This is how I know this is ours...we moved to our new house Sept 30th leaving behind our first home.  The babies were conceived in our old house.  It is our last reminder of our newlywed years.
