Pregnant after a Loss

Stressing - Have you ever JUST made kick counts?

UGH its been an hour and a half and I am up to about 7-8 movements - but some are like "was that really one". I have felt like this has been a slow movement day all around and I know have the obnoxious anterior placenta but I don't know if I should call??

They told me to call anytime but I don't want to be "that girl".

What would you do?

  • I think it is totally up to you. But I know today has been a really quiet day for my LO too, mostly I've only felt the occasional attempt to stretch out in there (which can I say ouch!) and just now we have our 2nd episode of the hiccups for the day. Have you drank something cold and or had something kinda sugary before laying down to count?

  • The other day I had "just made it." I really didn't even start doing them until about 32 weeks or so. I was feeling movement obviously, but he was having so many quiet days I just couldn't do it. My doctor told me that an ABRUPT decrease or absence of movement is when you need to worry. Not when the kick counts take a while or it's just been a few hours since he was really moving. I have found that drinking some OJ or a soda and then sitting really still helps gets things moving a little bit. Do you have a doppler? I still break mine out when I'm feeling uneasy.

  • This was me last week....I was so stressed because for three days she seemed really quiet and not as active as usual. I think maybe she was having a growth spurt...she has been as active as ever since then.

If it will make you feel better to call...then do it.  Sometimes it's just good to hear them say you are fine.  :)
