I planned to make DH a nice roasted chicken dinner tonight. I started to cut up my veggies, but when I got to the potatoes, they were very green. (The green color means they were exposed to the sun, producing the byproduct of cyanide - as in the deadly gas.) I tossed the potatoes, then opened the package of fresh chicken. The date was fine, but it smelled sour & rancid. I sealed it up tightly & will return it to the store for a refund.
Plan B is frozen pizza for dinner, but at least I didn't give DH food poisoning!
