Update on level 2 u/s today

I had my u/s today, everything went ok. Baby has 2 cysts on his brain and the bright spot on his heart is still there. Doc thinks cuz my Ntscan results came back with flying colors that Lo will be ok, but couldnt tell me 100%. So we went ahead and did the amino. I cried through the whole thing I was so scared, I felt like a big baby lol. But we should have the FISH results by friday afternoon.

Oh and they also confirmed he is without a doubt a boy, lol.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Do you know if they're doing a full chromosome study or just the FISH testing? (I work in a genetics lab and do this testing so I'm just being nosy!) Lots and lots of luck! I've heard a lot of stories of CPC being completely benign and disappearing on their own.

They are doing the full chromosome study, but doc told me fish results would be ready Friday afternoon. He said the final report could take up to 2 weeks.

amnios are scary, I probably would have reacted the same way.  I pray that your baby's results come out normal and the cysts disappear on their own (((hugs)))

Good, I'm glad he gave you a reasonable time line. It's so frustrating when docs give out unreachable goals. I'll send all the good result vibes I can muster!
